Real Talk Here: Becoming 'good' on a Wing Foil, Foil and/or Windsurf takes time, effort and dedication. Our Team Members here at Forward Motion Sports are excellent at showing you the techniques you need to get up on a Board the first time you book a Lesson with us! But there is only so much you, the student, can take in within the 2-3 hour Lesson. If this is your first time trying one of our offered Water Sports Lessons, surprisingly 🫢, you may find that at the end of the Lesson, you will not be an expert 😉

Why, you ask? Why can't you just get up on a Board and immediately know how to ride on a harness? Or pop up on a Foil? Or start planing and jumping each wave? Because everything is new! To name a few things you'll be introduced to when starting to delve into the world of Water Sports: the equipment, the terminology, the wave and wind conditions, the concept of how to ride by cutting through the wind or using the waves and rip currents to your advantage, not to mention the new muscle memory needed to balance on a fluid and moving surface.

Clinics are designed to Fast-Track the learning curve into your chosen sport. We aim to complete each Clinic within six (6) weeks of the Start Date (though this is dependent on the Wind & Water Conditions). Demo Gear Sessions are typically completed on the same day, and directly after the 2nd & 3rd Individual Lessons.
